VINTAGE DISCLAIMER
Born from a love of treasure hunting, Bessette sells vintage, pre-loved and curated home goods.
Please keep in mind that when buying vintage items you are purchasing something that is pre-loved. Most vintage items show signs of wear (i.e. fading, crazing, patina) but that is also what makes them so unique. We do our best to photograph and describe the condition of each item as best we can and we only sell items that we would purchase ourselves. CRAZING
Crazing does not impact the utility or the integrity of the piece it appears on (china, ceramic, porcelain or pottery). Crazing marks are teeny tiny surface-level cracks in the fired glaze of the piece.
FADING
Fading is a natural sign of aging in fabrics and textiles. While we will never sell something that appears faded in a stained pattern, some items may not be as vibrant as they were when they were first manufactured.
PATINA
Patina is a thin, green or brown film formed naturally on copper and bronze by long exposure or artificially (as by acids) and often valued aesthetically for its color.
